Observability of Network
Intent-based automation, especially the Golden Engineering Studio (GES), can provide comprehensive observability of a network feature. A systematic approach to prevent configuration drift and observe the health of the key features of your network is:
- Identify the list of representative devices in your network. You can identify them by device type, site, roles, or network features.
- From these representative devices, you discover the Golden Configs with the Reverse Engineering and define the Golden Features.
- From Golden Config Browser, you identify Day 1 issues. Or, from Golden Intent Production, you schedule running the intents and create the Observability dashboard from intents.
- From the Dashboard, you can observe the health of your tire network and dive into any alert. You can also auto-remediate any drift from the network design.
The results of the continuous assessment are presented in the Observability Dashboard. The dashboard displays the key metrics, the top devices with the most alerts, and the detail charts, with each row as an assessment point and each column as the alert counts for a device group or site.
