Function Modules

NetworkBrain includes the following three add-on function modules:

Note: Each module needs to be purchased separately.

• Application Assurance Module (AAM) provides an integrated solution to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot network applications by combining the application-aware paths with NetworkBrain automation features. Value-added features of AAM include:
  • Application Manager
  • Golden Path
  • Application-Aware Monitor
• Change Management Module (CM) provides a comprehensive network change management solution to create, approve, deploy and validate complex network changes. Value-added features of CMM include:
  • Change Management Runbook
  • Schedule and Triggered Network Change
• Preventive Automation (PA) provides the Intent-Based automation solution, including Interactive Automation for troubleshooting, Packaged Intent Automation as Interactive Service, running Automation for Network Assessment, Machine-to-Machine running of Automation.

All functions of AAM and CM require the corresponding module license. However, you may run the automation to a certain limit without a PA license for PA-related functions. The following table summarizes the functions that will be fully or partially restricted for the users without a PA license:

• There are no restrictions on NI/NIC creation.
• NI/NIC execution (both triggered via API and interactive execution, including running NI inside API stub) will be metered daily, and there are quotas per Domain.
• Preventative automation can be set up without the PA license, which includes: 1) Define AM probe; 2) View Trend chart; 3) View PA dashboard.
