Export a Map to a Word Document
You can export a map to a Word document and save it in the File folder within the NetworkBrain system. When exporting to Word, you can customize which map data is included. The exported document can contain both image and text information.
Compared to other export formats, exporting to Word provides more control over the content. You can include different map views and detailed device asset data. The exported information is organized and formatted for easy readability and use.
The Word document exported from a map contains a topology map, device configuration, data table, and more.
Follow the steps below to export a map to Word format:
- On a map toolbar, click Map > Export > Word from the dropdown menu.
- In the Export to Word dialog, enter a Document Name and select a Location to store the word file.
- In this dialog box, you can also:
- Select the map page checkboxes for the pages you want to export (if the map contains multiple pages).
- Filter the map devices whose data will be exported to the Word document. Click the Target Device to open the Select Devices dialog box. Select a device from the left pane, then click the
icon to add this device.
- Select a data view for the map to be exported.

- Click Export.
- To find the exported document, click Files on the sidebar and locate the folder where you have saved the document.
