NetBrain strives to make a difference in the community. See how we are giving back:

Walk for Hunger

The Walk for Hunger has been a tradition in Massachusetts since 1969. On the first Sunday in May, each year more than 40,000 Walkers and 2,000 Volunteers join together to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors by walking to raise money to feed those in need. NetBrain formed a team to walk on May 3rd, 2015 and donated $2000 to support the organization.

Special Olympics – Truck Pull

NetBrain has participated in the annual Humboldt truck pull to benefit the Special Olympics for the past four years by sponsoring our own team. At the Humboldt truck pull held in Boston, teams of 10 go head to head in a race to pull three classes of large trucks (a Duck boat, 30ft. straight trailer, and an 18-wheel tractor trailer) across a parking lot – lowest combine time wins. After hosting a kickoff event in September where a representative from the Special Olympics visited the Burlington office, NetBrain hosted two teams in this year’s event and contributed $2000!

Burlington Food Pantry

Thanks to NetBrain employees’ generous donations and NetBrain’s match, we collectively donated over 570 pounds of food to the Burlington Food Pantry for local families in need over Thanksgiving.

Nepal Relief & Rescue

Nepal experienced a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that has killed more than 8,000 people and injured more than 17,500. More than 4,000 aid workers were sent to assist in rescue operations and provide medical support. With a long campaign of rebuilding ahead of them, as more than 350,000 homes have been damaged or completely destroyed, NetBrain contributed over $11,000 to help Nepal recover and rebuild. Both employees and the organization pitched in to provide funding for Nepal relief.

Globe Santa

Globe Santa, a program of The Boston Globe Foundation, exists solely to deliver joy to local children by providing holiday presents to families in need throughout the Greater Boston area. The week before Christmas, NetBrain purchased $3000 worth of school supplies and employees got together during lunch to create 150 bags of supplies for children in the Greater Boston community.

Christmas in Cordova

For the past five holiday seasons, the city of Rancho Cordova has come together to provide assistance for the less fortunate and help many children in the community. The city holds a one day family event the week before Christmas where they provide a shopping mall for parents to select and wrap gifts for their children. The event also provides day care for young children, fun and games for older children, and a meal for all family members who attend! In addition to the gifts donated by the employees at our Sacramento location, NetBrain donated $500 to Christmas in Cordova to be used for gifts, meals, etc.

Good Cause, Inc.

Good Cause Inc., based in Sacramento, is a Men’s Empowerment organization that has created a process to meet the physical needs of client beneficiaries through safe and sober supportive housing, educational, vocational, life skills job readiness providing resources and employment opportunities. Good Cause is operated by volunteers of the community and 100% of the revenue and funds go back into supporting the process. NetBrain contributed $5000 to Good Cause Inc. to further develop skills training programs and continue providing safe, sober living for its clients.

Aid for German Refugees

NetBrain donated $11,484 (€10,000) to the City of Munich’s Social Programs Agency, a special fund focused on direct benefits to the resettlement of refugees. All funds are used to procure emergency items for refugees such clothing, shoes, tents, subway tickets for schools and medical visits, etc.

Zhiguang Special Education Training School

Since 2007, NetBrain has been committed to helping the children at Zhiguang Special Education Training School to earn a better education and ultimately, a happier life.  NetBrain’s on-going efforts include providing scholarships and supplying food, helping to make Zhiguang more like a home for those children with mental disabilities. In 2015 alone, NetBrain donated ¥182,500 or just under $28,000.
